Kerala a “God’s own Country” is an enchanting kaleidoscope of beautiful surprises. While the state unfolds an artistic canvas, Kerala has always been a tourist’s delight. It is not surprising that it named as one of the ten paradises of the world by National Geographic Traveller.

In this 14-days tour, we will visit most of the must-see places of the south Kerala. Trivandrum, the state capital well known for Kovalam beach, one of the ten best beaches of India, The oldest Padmanabha Swamy Temple and Museum complex. Way ahead, as you cruise around the backwaters of Alleppey, you can have an awesome and unforgettable backwater experience. Additionally, we will visit the Vembanad lake, the longest lake in Kerala in our own houseboat. At Kumarakom admire nature’s beauty as you experience backwater cruising & the bird sanctuary, which is a favourite haunt of migratory birds.  A visit to Thekkady & Munnar has something unique to offer. The Periyar Wildlife Reserve and numerous spice plantations are the highlights of Thekkady. Munnar, is all about Virgin forests, savannah, rolling hills, scenic valleys, numerous streams, huge, splashy waterfalls, sprawling tea plantations and winding walkways. As we drive along the Kochi – Madurai Highway, you could cherish moments at the Cheyyapara Waterfalls. While we settle in Cochin, known as the Queen of Arabian Sea, you will enjoy harbour cruise to see amazing Chinese fishing nets, yes, they are still working. A visit to Jew town with spice market and Synagogue is quite enjoyable and best photo location.  This tour is complemented with an excursion tour of Athirapally waterfalls, a place worth visiting once in a lifetime.

As you enjoy time as a solo traveller or with friends and family, you could treat yourself with local delicacies. Our expert driver will guide you to some of the speciality restaurants. Itinerary

Day 01Trivandrum – Tour begins…

On Arrival in Trivandrum Airport / Railway station. You will be received from the Airport by a member of our local team. Or an appointed driver who will take care of your transfer and check-in at a charming resort set in a Coconut grove overlooking a small bay. Rest of evening at leisure.

Day 2Trivandrum

After leisurely breakfast of local delicacies made of rice, coconuts and bananas proceed on a tour of nearby backwaters in a country boat. Passing through the canals, You begin to get a real feel of Kerala. For lunch back to the resort rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the sun & the surf.

Day 3Trivandrum

Whole day enjoy sun, sand and surf. Enjoy the exclusive leisure options like an Ayurvedic massage, fishing, angling and swimming at the resort. Or one can go for Trivandrum city tour. Visit Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Chitra art gallery, Museum, Zoo, SMSM Institute, Veli lagoon and Shanmugham beach. Evening back to resort.

Day 4Trivandrum - Alleppey

After an early breakfast, departure for Alleppey, An important backwater tourist center and known for immense natural beauty. Here your very own Houseboat awaits you for leisurely day cruising the waterways. Here the stunning scenery and peacefulness make you feel as you are lost in a time warp. This is a perfect place for total relaxation and pure enjoyment of natural beauty. This will be a part of your holiday that you will never forget. The crew will prepare traditional meals onboard with lots of Keralan delicacies.

Day 5Disembark At Kumarakom

After breakfast on board disembark at Kavananthikara jetty at Kumarakom, An unbelievable beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, green paddy fields and coconut groves. A bird sanctuary is an ideal place for backwater cruises. Check into the luxury resort set amidst the backwaters. Rest of the day free for leisure activity or relax at the estate and enjoy its scenic surroundings.

Day 06Kumarakom

A whole day to explore Kumarakom. You can go into the heart of the scenic Vembanad lake by a motorboat, A houseboat and canoe. Enjoy the exclusive leisure options like an Ayurvedic massage, yoga, meditation, fishing, angling and swimming at the resort. In the evening watch a cultural programme at the resort.

Day 07Kumarakom - Thekkady

After early breakfast, your spice trail starts through tea estates, spice and rubber plantations in this exotic mountainous area some 3000 ft above sea level, to Periyar Wildlife Reserve [130 kms]. Check into a resort set in a spice garden.

Day 08Thekkady

Rise and shine at early hours, with time for a cup of tea or coffee. Embark on the boat for the cruise around the lake where we hope to see some of the many animals; the most famous sightings are Elephants, wild boar, deer, monkeys. After the cruise, return to the resort for breakfast before visiting spice shops at Kumily and a local village where the guide will give you the knowledge about all the spice trees growing in the area. Afternoon free to relax or enjoy a swim in the inviting swimming pool. The evening to relax and enjoy the enchanting surroundings.

Day 09Thekkady - Munnar

After breakfast leave for Munnar [110 kms], Kerala’s and probably India’s most popular hill resort situated at 1600 mt above sea level. Virgin forests, savannah, rolling hills, scenic valleys, numerous streams, huge, splashy waterfalls, sprawling tea plantations and winding walkways are all part of this awesome Hill station. English country cottages are the Imprints of the colonial past which stand tall in the Munnar town.
After checking into the hotel and post breakfast, we visit lush green surrounding tea estates, Mattupetty Dam, Echo point, Kundala Dam and Top station. Enjoy speed boat at Mattupatty lake.

Day 10Munnar

After an early breakfast visit Eravikulam – Rajamala Wildlife Sanctuary. This place is a fantastic feast for nature lovers. And this is the place where you can get a chance to watch rare endangered Nilgiri Tahrs. Your next stop will at TATA’s welfare center developed for the mentally and physically challenged, A magical place high up in the tea gardens. Under this project you can visit a center who create natural dyes that are born from pigments in the leaves, seeds, flowers, and nuts found in the lush forests of Munnar and create naturally dyed fabrics. Tata Tea Museum and A century-old church, owing its legacy to the British tea planters. In the evening you can shop variety of Tea at KDHP sales outlet.

Day 11Munnar - Cochin

Rise and shine at early Hours and departure for Cochin [130kms]. Don’t miss a stop at Cheyyapara Waterfalls which cascades down in seven steps. Afternoon Arrival at Cochin – The queen of the Arabian sea. The most important trade centers along the spice coast. Check into the Hotel. Evening there is a trip to watch a performance of Kathakali, the traditional dance of Kerala, a dramatized form of storytelling.

Day 12Cochin

After breakfast depart the hotel for Cochin Harbour cruise covering Dutch Palace, St. Angelo’s church, Jew Synagogue, Chinese fishing nets and Bolghatty Island. Afternoon back to the hotel. Evening free to do shopping area or take a sunset cruise where you will get an opportunity to watch Sunset from sea mouth.

Day 13Cochin - Athirapally - Cochin

Rise and shine at early hours. After a cup of tea/coffee, we depart the for an exciting picnic to Waterfalls, 77 km away north of cochin, these waterfalls near the entrance of the Sholayar ranges is of great scenic beauty. The Athrirappally waterfall is of 80feet height and joins Chalakudy river. Just a short drive from Athirappally, Vazhachal waterfalls are close to the dense green forest and is part of Chalakudy river. Afternoon time is to enjoy at the Amusement Parks Athirappally. Evening return to Cochin. Relax and unwind at the hotel.

Day 14Cochin– Home Town
