Itinerary

Day 01Arrival Athens

On arrival at the Athens airport, you will be received by a member of your local team or an appointed driver who will take care of your transfer and check-in formality at the hotel. Rest of the day go for a leisurely walking tour to know about Greek history, culture and national identity.

Day 2Athens

Today After breakfast, our exploration starts with  The Acropolis of Athens universal symbol of the classical essence and civilization. It’s the greatest architectural and artistic design bestowed by Greek days-of-yore to the world. We shall visit Propylaea, Odeon of Herodes Atticus, Parthenon, Erechtheion Temple,
Theatre of Dionysos, Hadrian’s Arch, Temple of Olympian Zeus, Temple of Hephaestus, Roman Agora & Tower of the winds, Ancient Agora, Panathenaic Stadium. After admiring the wonders of the classical era we shall get some good time for lunch. Later visit the Acropolis Museum designed by Bernard Tschumi. It is a museum focused on the discoveries of the archaeological location of the Acropolis.
Rest of the evening you can enjoy a walk on the pedestrian of Apostolou Paulou, which begins from the Acropolis Museum and ends in Thiseio. Or shopping lover can take a walk on Ermou Street,  a pedestrian zone and the city’s best-known and busiest shopping street. Return to your hotel.

Day 3Athens – Nafplio – Olympia

After breakfast, we leave for Olympia with some very interesting halts at Corinth canal, Archaeological Site Tomb Agamemnon, The Archaeological Museum of Mycenae & Nafplio.
First brief photo stop shall be at The Corinth Canal, a significant navigational route in the Greek archipelago connecting the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf. This mini Panama canal is very impressive, and you will be fortunate if you see a ship sailing through it.
Next stop shall be, The Tomb Agamemnon, which was constructed during the Bronze Age around 1250 BC. The stone lintel above the gateway weighs 120 tons, the most important within the world.
And the next halt shall be at The Archaeological Museum of Mycenae is found within the archaeological site of Mycenae. It is designed to serve both the preservation of the fabric from the excavations within the citadel of Mycenae.
After this visit, we leave for Nafplio here; first, we’ll have a lunch break, then proceed to Fortress of Palamidi. It’s the east of the Acronaupli. Settled on the peak of a 216-metre high hill, and has a fantastic view over the Argolic gulf, the city of Nafplio & surrounding realm.
Later for overnight stay we travel over a 100 miles to the city of Olympia, On arrival checi into the hotel.

Day 4Olympia

After a leisure breakfast at the hotel we visit the Archaeological Site And Museum Olympia The Archaeological Museum of Olympia, one among the most important in Greece, presents the long-standing historical development of antiquity’s most glorious sanctuaries, which was dedicated to the father of gods and men Zeus, and was the cradle of the Olympic Games. It includes the permanent exhibition of findings from the excavations within the sanctuary of Altea, which go back prehistoric to the primary Christian years. Of all the invaluable exhibits, the most important is that the exhibition of sculptures. The museum is also known because of the collection of bronze objects: the richest within the world and consists of weapons, figurines and other items.
Even talking about the Archaeological Site of Olympia, in the valley of Peloponnesus, has been inhabited since prehistoric times. Within the 10th century B.C., Olympia became the most important centre for the devotion of Zeus. Here the ancient site Altis has the very best concentrations of masterpieces from the Greek world. In it were the temples of Zeus and Hera, his consort. Additionally to temples, there are the remains of all the sports structures built for the Olympic Games, which were organized in Olympia every four years beginning in 776 BC.
After visiting archaeology site, at just 5 minutes drive, you can take a refreshing break at a family-run winery called Gi. It is famous not only for Wine’s premium quality but also for its location and serene landscape. Return to your hotel & rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5Olympia – Meteora (Kalambaka / Kastraki)

Rise & shine at early hours. After a cup of tea/coffee, we leave for Meteora. Meteora (‘suspended in air’) – home to  6 UNESCO World Heritage monasteries and nunneries perched atop massive rock pillars. And most importantly, they all are still actively worshipped. Vist to Meteora is the must on any tour of the Greece. On arrival, have your lunch and then visit Monastery of Agios Stefanos, Monastery of Rousanou.
The Holy Monastery of Agios Stefanos is the female (Nun) monasteries of Meteora. It is by far the easiest accessible monastery, where rather then steps you have to cross a small bridge to reach the entrance. The monastery has a small museum which displays ecclesiastical items. The sanctuary gives a spectacular view of the plain of Kalambaka. While you visit the monastery dress properly because the dress code is strict, or else the nuns will give a piece of cloth to cover your legs and shoulder.
The Holy Monastery Of Roussanou was first established in the 14th century. Roussanou Monastery is located on a lower rock and is easy to access by a wooden bridge. The monastery of Roussanou has also attacked by the germans during world war two and was damaged. A local archaeological service later repaired it, and since then it was occupied by a small community of nuns.
Later, we shall end our day with the stunning sunset at Meteora observation deck.

Day 06Kalambaka – Delphi

After a leisurely breakfast, we leave for Delphi – an ancient religious sanctuary dedicated to the Greek god Apollo. The sacred place where the human could directly communicate with Gods.
Developed in the 8th century BC, the sanctuary was home to the Oracle of Delphi and the priestess Pythia, who were famed throughout the early world for divining the future and was consulted before all major undertakings.
Here we explore the Ancient town of Delphi & later we visit the Temple of Apollo. These are the marvelous sites. The most important part of Delphi is the temple of Apollo, situated atop a large porch supported by a polygonal wall. Later visit The Archaeological Museum of Delphi, which displays the history of the Delphic sanctuary.  The rest of the evening is at your leisure you can wander around the city as you please.

Day 07Delphi - Athens – Mykonos (Ferry)

After breakfast, we depart Delphi for Athens to board a ferry to Mykonos. En route, we take two halts. First brief halt shall be at Arachova Village, which has a dreamy mountainous landscape. This place is a favourite for avid ski lovers.  Next one hour halt shall be at Hosious Loukas monastery. It is the very important site of middle Byzantine art and architecture and is listed on UNESCO world Heritage sites. On arrival in Athens you shall get some good time for lunch and then we proceed to Piraeus port to board the ferry for Mykonos. On arrival check in into the hotel.

Day 08Mykonos

Today, no need to wake up early.  After breakfast, the day is at leisure on this Jet Set Cycladic island known for its striking windmills. Mykonos, with its Cycladic architecture, is full of whitewashed houses and blue-domed churches. Wander through the maze of small alleyways and an array of shops for bargains and good deals. You may visit Paraportiani one of the beautiful church out of 365 churches of the island and in the evening enjoy the magical sunset from little Venice and stunning nightlife on the island. Everything on this island is pure bliss.

Day 09Mykonos – Santorini/Thira (ferry)

Today, after breakfast/lunch, we leave for a well-known island in the world, Santorini. We take a ferry from Port Mykonos at around 14.00 in the afternoon. After approx. 3 hrs ride we reach Santorini. Later transfer & check into the hotel.
Well, talking about Santorini is one of the Cyclades islands in the Aegean Sea. It was destroyed by a volcanic eruption in the 16th century BC, forever shaping its Stony landscape. The whitewashed, painted houses of its two principal towns, Oia and Fira, hold on tightly to cliffs above an underwater caldera (crater). They overlook the sea, small islands to the west and beaches made up of black, red and white lava pebbles.  Even if santorini is a romantic destination it is also and amazing place for fun and crazy night life you can spend your evening in one for the Lounge her.

Day 10Santorini

After breakfast, the rest of the day to explore the distinctive attractions and sites of Santorini. You’ll get an opportunity to wander around the picturesque settlements with the cove houses, whitewashed buildings, Bule-domed churches, Venetian castles and old-fashioned alleys. You will enjoy stunning views from Profitis Ilias Mountain, the tallest peak of Santorini. Visit the must-see volcanic beaches with some good lunch at a traditional tavern of the coastal village for local cuisine. Not to be missed, a visit to Santorini’s wineries & from here also admire the views of great caldera and volcano of the island.
And finally conclude your today’s tour with the incredible Sunset view from the picturesque Oia village, which is also known for its admirable architecture, beautiful cafes and restaurants built on the fantastic caldera cliffs.

Day 11Santorini

Today after breakfast, the rest of the day is entirely yours. Enjoy it to the fullest to make Santorini unforgettable.
Note: Go to bed at the earlieast today, as on the next day you have to take a very early ferry to Crete / Heraklion.

Day 12Santorini – Crete / Heraklion (Ferry (Sat)

Today after an early breakfast, we leave for one of the biggest islands, boasting beautiful landscapes and out of the world beaches with the water covering all the shades of blue and sugar-fine sand. Yes, it is Crete Island. A two and the half-hour ferry ride make you reach Heraklion jetty. Today you’ll arrive in Heraklion around 10, after that, you will have the first visit to the Cretaquarium, the aquarium is home to 2000 sea animals and 200 different species of the Mediterranean. Many travellers say that the shark tank is a must-see sport that you can’t miss in the aquarium. Later you will have to check into the hotel and have a lunch break. Post lunch you have a visit to the Heraklion Archaeological Museum. The museum is very amazing to visit for the archaeological lover as it holds the extensive collection of Minoan art. The museum’s highlights include the Phaistos Disk and a mini statue of a Snake Goddess, a clay tablet with unknown symbols that have not been decoded until date. All the artefacts here have a history of over 5000 years.
Or if time permits
Just a few Kilometers south-east of Heraklion lies Crete’s most significant and well-preserved Minoan site, and that is The Palace of Knossos is one of the most important tourist attraction in Crete. The palace is the largest Bronze age site across all of the Greek island and referred to as a Europe’s ancient town.
Later in the evening feel free to stretch your legs or stroll along the waterfront, where you’ll find some of the Heraklion’s best seafood restaurant.

Day 13Heraklion / Crete.

Well speaking of Heraklion, Heraklion attracts numerous foreign as well as Greek tourists, who want to enjoy its incredible natural beauty and a different nightlife and also to explore its archaeological sites. Today after leisure breakfast at the hotel we leave for the Elafonisi lagoon beach, on the way we firstly visit the Morosini Lions Fountain, built in the 17 century, the fountain is surrounded by big trees and cafes, where you can click some pic and treat yourself with a snack from the around café. Later we visit Old town, the most eyecatching monument along the old town harbour is the 16th century Venetian Fort of Koules. You will also see the fishing boats line through the shore, where the walkway is right along the waterfront. After this we wander through Chania, on the Greek Islands Chania is the biggest island city with narrow streets and waterfront restaurants. Make sure you stroll through the Venetian Harbour, see the old lighthouse, and visit the Agora Market place where you’ll be able to grab your lunch. Post lunch we explore the Elafonissi Beach, here you will find the sand pinkish in various parts of the beach, due to thousands of broken seashells. Spend the rest of the day here and leave fro Heraklion in the evening.

Day 14Crete – Athens

Today after breakfast, the rest of the day is entirely yours, buy some souvenirs as a memory of this beautiful tour. After a long day we board a ferry / boat / ship around 20.00 hours to Athens which will reach Athens the next morning.
Note: Today you can also visit Vai Beach, which is just two and a half hours away from Heraklion the palm beach of Vai is one of the biggest attraction of the Mediterranean
